CHALI 2na & the house of vibe

With his unmistakable baritone voice and 6-and-a-half-foot charm, Chali 2na has established himself as one of hip-hop's most celebrated and charismatic personalities. Most well-known for co-founding music groups, Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli, Chali released his debut solo album "Fish Outta Water" in 2009. Since then, he has toured the world ten times over with his band known as House of Vibe and has collaborated with some of the industry’s most recognized and respected DJs and Musicians. Breathing visual life into his musical past, Chali embarked on a 6-year journey to produce "Against the Current”, a multi-media project that combines a 5-part series of genre bending EPs with a coffee table art book featuring his own original paintings, drawings, and photography. After relocating from Chicago to LA in the early 80’s when he was entering his teens, he was instantly engulfed by the worlds of hip hop and graffiti. Instinctively successful at marrying the two together, as his music career began to flourish, his artistic talents also expanded past the walls of city streets and onto canvases and into galleries. Now, as Chali’s catalogues continue to grow he is finding unique ways to share his art with the world, and demand for it is rapidly growing.

  • Passafire performs at Buds-A-Palooza April 11, 2026

    PASSAFIRE

Passafire’s single, Keepin’ On, serves as a mission statement for the veteran rock-reggae outfit as they continue to forge ahead through their second decade of reimagining the boundaries of the current rock-reggae landscape. Unflinchingly optimistic, Keepin’ On shows off what Passafire does best: expertly blending the macro/political and the micro/personal. The rock-steady anthem weaves together Passafire’s take on global warming, economic uncertainty, and technology’s threat to personal privacy with the band’s dedication to survival, intent on thriving by any means necessary.

“We are very grateful to be where we’re at with awesome fans that sustain and support us,” said Passafire’s bassist Will Kubley. “But every band wants to get to the next level” quickly pointed out lead guitarist/lead singer Ted Bowne. “We keep reaching new milestones and having new meaningful events, but we still have many ambitions we want to achieve. So we’ve got to keep going until we do.”

  • Mouse Powell performs at Buds-A-Palooza on April 11, 2026

    MOUSE POWELL

Mouse is an accomplished singer, rapper, songwriter, and hand model. He once wrote a bio that said the following: “2020 is looking to be an exciting year for Mouse Powell.” Two months later he lost every source of income he had. As COVID-19 stripped away his ability to continue to earn money and grow as a touring musician he did what all people in his position would have done. He questioned why he had begun making music in the first place. He retreated into his bedroom with a cracked version of ableton, a guitar, and a need to create. He rediscovered a love for the process, and found that the urge to communicate, heal, and make the most authentic music he could was what really mattered.

He hunkered down. He made music with his friends. Now, two years later he is ready to share it.
